The Role

Apaya is building a market-leading experience for global merchants to allow them to rapidly expand their business into new markets by adding new payment methods to their checkout experience. This role will be centered around the delivery of new payment methods/products globally. Whether it’s a direct debit for a music streaming product or included in your monthly phone bill; you will be leading the launch of these new products/mechanisms! We’re looking for organised, analytical candidates who are comfortable in a time-bound start-up environment to manage the delivery of new products, payment methods, and other projects/services. This role will require a candidate with good interpersonal skills and an ability to absorb technical information without difficulty. You will be leading the optimisation and automation of service delivery mechanisms and working to own and improve this area. We have closed our seed funding and as a result, the company will see rapid growthit is key for all employees to show initiative and a level of autonomy and, willingness to learn outside their immediate role. Responsibilities

  • Manage the interfaces between Apaya internal teams, our merchants, and payment providers to accelerate and simplify the on-boarding process onto the Apaya platform
  • Manage multi-directional communications for numerous concurrent projects efficiently to deliver against our objectives and key results
  • Develop new project plans to ensure timeline delivery, ensure all dependencies are highlighted and covered, and remove complexities
  • Coordinate between all stakeholders and centralise project documentation, project tracking, and reports relevant to the business owners and merchants
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to build relationships that will support the growth of our merchants and enhance business opportunities for Apaya
  • Adopt a data-driven approach to assist in the future growth of Apaya by seeking, identifying, and taking appropriate action on opportunities for additional business, increase operational efficiency and effectiveness, and enhance merchant experience
  • Manage project development and services work as required, ensuring project management standards and agile principles are applied
  • Take ownership of the first level of incident management and escalation process and manage such events within Apaya and third parties as appropriate
  • Develop the service delivery processes within Apaya to standardize the project management and service delivery
  • Excellent team player capable of delivering results in less than perfect circumstances.
  • Monitor new client performance and address any open issues to ensure timely resolution, achievement of objectives and delivergreat customer experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+years working in Project Management, Service Delivery.
  • A recognised qualification in Project Management or Service Delivery.
  • At least 3 years in change management or Agile projects.
  • Experience with process improvement, automation, and creating process guides, process maps is a plus
  • Strong desire to learn and keep up to date with new methodologies/ learnings around your role.
  • You’ll be a digital native with a passion for all things tech. You’ll utilise your knowledge together with business insight to challenge the deployment and onboarding process whilst being comfortable with technical lexicon.
  • You should be capable of thriving in new, high-paced environments, influencing and, communicating concepts both internally and externally across locations.
  • Excellent computer skills, and a strong knowledge of Hubspot and Office 365.
  • Excellent business writing skills with experience in the production of business cases, requirement documentation, tender documents, contracts, statements of work, and change requests
  • Fluent English, additional language skills a plus.
